Yew Jia-Lin
Started piano lessons at the age of five and began public performances
at the age of eight. Her studies with Chua Kah Pin, Yap Boen Pin and Martina Maixnerova,
led to LTCL, FTCL, and LRSM diplomas in performing. Jia-Lin was offered an Associated Board
Scholarship to study with Ruth Hart and Rex Stevens at the Royal Academy of Music in 1983.
In 1986, Jia-Lin obtained the LRAM and was awarded a year's scholarship extension at the Royal Academy to pursue
Jia-Lin was also a recipient of the 'Harold Samuel' and 'Tinedenik Wertlake' prizes among other accolades, which include
recitals in Belgium, spain and
